first half recap

In the weeks prior to the world premier of “Dante-The Ariel Inferno” I grew tremendously as a performer, and as an individual. My first rehearsal was absolutely crazy because I went there straight from the airport, and was so jetlagged I fell asleep in the 10 seconds I was asked to lay down under the fog. However, in the many rehearsals to follow I feel our team came together and collectively did what was needed in order for our show to reach its fullest potential. I love Scotland a lot, simply being here is milking my mind, and The Fringe Festival is an exceptional bonus. I have enjoyed busting and rehearsing a lot. I know I’ve developed my craft, and gotten a chance to wander around the streets of Edinburgh, which is always a hoot. I have been to several shows at this point, and I cannot wait to see as many as I can afford. Even if I didn’t particularly care for the genre of the performance, I still value to opportunity to witness what theatre is to the rest of the world. I saw “Settimana”, a one-woman acrobatic piece, and it was coconuts! Meeting so many other performers from all ends of the spectrum, adding to the energy out in the streets, and witnessing countless different cultures has inspired me through and through. The decision was far from easy, but I must say my greatest memory thus far was the bus trip to Lock Ness. That was a huge part of me and my sisters bucket list, and we got to do it together, we also spoke with Nessie. In conclusion, this trip has proved itself to be one for the story books, a real gem, and I look forward to the two weeks that lie before us.
